Gifts galore for art contest

A GROUP of students from Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit Girls’ Arabic Religious Secondary School emerged as the grand prize winners of the Azutech Primary School Art Competition 2017 after receiving 297 votes for their entry.

The winning team was presented with their prize – an Oki C531 Heavy Duty A4 Led Printer – by Azutech Director Haji Matussin bin Haji Ahmad during a prize presentation ceremony at Azutech’s office in Kampong Mata-Mata yesterday.

The Azutech Primary School Art Competition 2017 saw students from five invited primary schools creating artwork banners – printed by Oki Printers – and having their works judged by the public.

A total of 14 entries were submitted.

The public were invited to vote for their favourite banners via social media.

Students in the winning group were Awangku Muhd Idris Al-Fadhlee bin Pengiran Haji Mohd Tassim, Md Irsyaduddin bin Awang Ishak, Muhd Aminnurr Ridhwan bin Haji Abdul Rahim, Muzzaffar bin Haji Manan, Mohamad Haziq Nazmi bin Ashraf Rusli, Abdul Nur Aiman bin Abdul Rasit, Azri Muradi Muhadi, Muhd Hassanol Jazmi bin Jazrawi, and Ameer Abdurrahman.

According to their supervising teacher Cikgu Asmatullah bin Haji Abdul Rahman, the students were chosen from 12 Year 6 classes.

The students’ artwork was created on A4 paper.

“I hope that winning the competition will further motivate the students in their studies and enhance their learning spirit and ambition,” said a delighted Cikgu Asmatullah.

Meanwhile, the first runner up prize went to Ahmad Na’im Syazwan bin Sulaiman, a student of Pengiran Setia Jaya Pengiran Abdul Momin Primary School. Ahmad Na’im Syazwan won 146 votes for his piece and took home the prize of an Oki MC362 Colour A4 Multifunction LED printer.

A lucky draw for the competition’s voters was also conducted, with Zeti Yusrina binti Jaludin emerging as the winner. She was presented with an Oki C301dn Color A4 LED printer.
